Chateau Grand-Puy-Ducasse  

Location:  Chateau Grand-Puy-Ducasse is located adjacent to Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste in the commune of Pauillac. It takes its name from its location, Grand Puy is 'big hill'.

Classification:   Fifth Growth

Vineyards: The vines average 25 years of age. The plantings of 62% Cabernet Sauvignon and 38% Merlot. One parcel is adjacent to Mouton and to Lafite. Another parcel is on a gravelly rise near Batailley.

Production and Vinification:  

History:   

Drinkability:  The chateau produces very good but not exceptional wines that have a blackcurrant quality in the nose and flavors. Ducasse's wines lack the concentration of Chateau Grand-Puy-Lacoste.
